Stencils
Not all stencils are suitable for polymer clay, this is not because of the material, but because of the pattern. Large patterns are not suitable for earrings or a pendant of a necklace.
The stencils in the HappyThings range have been selected on this basis and have a more detailed pattern, so that the pattern can also be visible on smaller jewelry parts.
Stencils can be used in several ways in combination with polymer clay:
* Using the stencil as a template, place the stencil on the clay and paint the opening with a good acrylic paint. Remove the stencil and the pattern is in paint on the clay.
* Stencils can also be used as texture/stamp. Take a piece of clay and place the stencil on it. Turn both, on top of each other, through the clay machine and the pattern of the stencil is embossed in the clay. If you don't have a pasta machine/clay machine, you can do it by hand with a roller. Roll well and firmly over the stencil with the clay underneath. For a special effect, you can also put a sheet of metal foil on the clay layer, then stencil on it and roll with the hand roller or through the clay machine.
* In addition to paint, you can also work with glitter, soft pastels or mica powder.
